Senior Associate Attorney

Emily Koning handles divorce, custody, contempt, protective order, and peace order cases. Emily ensures that her clients’ priorities are her priorities and that their voices are heard. She works with her clients to achieve their goals, advises them on how to protect themselves and their children, and presents their cases to judges and magistrates in a clear, factor-by-factor manner.

Emily joined our team in the summer of 2019. Prior to joining us, Emily was an associate attorney handling family law cases in various jurisdictions of the State of Maryland. She also served as the law clerk for Special Magistrate Andrea Kelly in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, where she learned firsthand the art of handling family law disputes.

Emily graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, cum laude, in 2013.  During law school, she interned for the Honorable Kendra Y. Ausby in the Family Division of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Child in Need of Assistance (CINA) Division.  Emily represented clients as a student attorney with the Family Law Clinic. She was also a member of the University of Baltimore Law Review.
